We are in search of a meticulous Tax Accountant to join our team in Kahului, Hawaii. This role focuses on providing expert support in accounting functions, specifically in the area of tax preparation. The position requires a deep understanding of various tax software, state tax regulations and financial statement preparation. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements. If interested in this role, please call us at 808.452.0264.Responsibilities: • Handle all accounting functions effectively and ensure financial data accuracy• Prepare and submit state tax returns accurately and timely• Utilize QuickBooks for efficient financial management and reporting• Compute and file sales tax as per the state requirements• Expertly use Lacerte Tax Software for tax preparation and other related tasks• Process payroll accurately and within the set timelines• Prepare tax returns ensuring compliance with tax regulations• Compile, analyze and prepare financial statements regularly• Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations• Handle any other tax-related duties as may be required.
