Senior Tax Accountant (hybrid & great WLB)

$85,000 - $+5,000

We are partnering with a globally recognized organization based in Birmingham to find a Senior Tax Accountant. Responsibilities:
• Ensure comprehensive tax compliance for various entities
• Review and analyze federal, state, and foreign income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations
• Conduct tax planning and research for domestic and international investment funds
• Perform tax calculations, including investment partnership waterfall calculations, tax distributions, quarterly estimates, and foreign and state withholdings, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Oversee and maintain robust tax data management systems, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of tax-related information
• Implement and enforce standardized processes and controls for tax data collection, validation, and reporting
• Foster effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, legal, and investment teams
• Communicate tax matters clearly and concisely to stakeholders at various levels
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of federal and state tax audits
• Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 2 year of partnership tax experience in corporate or public accounting
• Experience with partnership tax accounting, allocations, and incentive allocations preferred
• Understanding of ASC 740
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
