Vale Group has partnered with a company based in Dallas, TX, who is actively searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to work onsite for an opportunity paying $75,000 - $+5,000 per year, based on experience. This role involves supporting the Controller in a fast-paced centralized accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.

### Requirements of the Senior Accountant:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; 4-year accounting degree preferred (or 2-year degree with several years of verifiable accounting experience)
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Background in oil and gas, commodities, or manufacturing preferred but not required
• High degree of accuracy with data entry and attention to detail
• Public accounting experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP or large ERP systems
• General understanding of GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy work volume
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines with effective organizational, stress, and time management skills

### Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
• Reconcile and analyze approximately +0% of the balance sheet accounts, including miscellaneous receivables, fixed assets, accrued others, and intangibles
• Maintain the fixed asset subledgers by plant/location, including Construction in Progress and related reclasses to fixed asset account
• Confirm balance sheet reconciliations performed by others and completed monthly
• Conduct monthly meetings to review reconciliations with the Controller
• Review and analyze SG&A expenses, concentrating on trends and fluctuations
• Book accruals, reclasses, balance sheet entries such as amortization and prepaids, and recurring P&L entries such as interest, fees, and insurance
• Attend month-end close meetings and report on findings
• Report SG&A to department heads and assist with proper coding
• Support the Controller with various financial reporting needs, including quarterly lender reporting
• Prepare monthly capital spend reporting for all entities and plants
• Handle ad hoc reporting requests
• Assist with the preparation of the SG&A budget
• Analyze actual expenses compared to budget and report on variances
