We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your accounting skills and financial acumen in a challenging and rewarding environment. You will be a key player in our finance department, responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, preparing and analyzing budgets, and performing general bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to
• Maintaining and controlling the general ledger accounts and business transactions by applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with a thorough understanding of financial statements such as Balance Sheets and Income Statements.
• Analyzing and reconciling complex bank statements and general ledgers.
• Preparing journal entries for income and expenses, including the monthly accruals necessary to ensure that the company’s financials are accurate and complete.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
• Ensuring compliance with all internal processes.
• Collaborating with the finance team and other departments to streamline accounting processes and operations.
• Providing detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.
• Preparing documentation for external auditors.

Qualifications

To be considered for the role, you will need to meet the following criteria
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field a plus
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially in MS Excel.
• Experience with medical industry accounting software will be advantageous.
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to direct and supervise.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
