Accounting Specialist

Vaco Memphis is looking to hire a Accounting Specialist /Finance Specialist for a client in Humboldt, TN. This role will be integral to the financial operations of the company's services group, handling a combination of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP),project accounting and will report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:
• Manage vendor invoices (ex. Equipment rentals, material purchases, and labor) and track project costs for each project to appropriate projects to ensure accurate billing to end customer upon project completion
• Track project costs associated with various projects for both accurate accounting and billing purposes.
• Handle AR tasks, ensuring timely invoicing of completed jobs.
• Utilize the MIP system, integrated with SAP, for tracking technician time and expenses.
• Perform transactional duties related to AP and AR.
• Assist with project accounting and other special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
• Experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable.
• Familiarity with project accounting is a plus.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, SAP is a plus but not required
• Must have intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to travel to our Tennessee factory for initial training (first week M-F, second week M-Th).
