Cost Accountant

Job description
Ambassador Personnel is seeking a Cost Accountant for their client in Lakeland, GA. Great direct hire opportunity with an established company that offers benefits!

Preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits.

Responsibilities
• Collect and analyzing data about a company's operational costs
• Set standard costs of manufactured goods
• Develop and analyze cost standards
• Carry out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis, including for small businesses
• Establish costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
• Perform account reconciliations
• Prepare audit reports and present their findings to management
• Manage the company's balance sheet and accounting books
• Support other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure
• Prepare journal entries for monthly financials

Qualifications
• Associate's degree in accounting or extensive experience in cost accounting is required.
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Superior knowledge of financial reporting software tools and ERP software
• In-depth knowledge of financial guidelines and regulations
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to perform risk and security assessments
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Possess a strong business acumen
