Senior Accountant

Our client, a manufacturing company located in the western suburbs of Chicago, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team! The ideal candidate will be knowledgable of GAAP principles to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.

This job in a nutshell:
• Prepare month-end close entries
• Reconcile intercompany data accounts
• Process AP
• Prepare account reconciliations after month-close
• Backup for payroll
• Update monthly budget performance report and analysis
• Assist with quarterly and semi-annual business plan preparations
• Assist with the implementation of system controls
• Assist in the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting

We are looking for (key requirements/preferences):
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of general accounting experience
• Intercompany accounting experience is preferred
• Inventory accounting experience is preferred
• JDE highly preferred

Sells:
• History of internal promotions between this business and other local subsidiaries
• Good mix of responsibilities
• Exposure to system implementation, costing, analysis and supporting the business.

Compensation: up to $+5,000 base salary plus bonus
