General Accountant - Elmhurst, IL

$80,000-$120,000 D.O.E. plus full benefits

Responsibilities:
• Execute daily accounting tasks for multiple clients, including maintaining general ledgers, recording any financial transactions, and reconciling accounts
• Apply a strong understanding of GAAP and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
• Assist in the monthly close process by posting journal entries related to payroll, prepaid etc.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
• Monitor, prepare, and communicate financial reports in accordance with due dates
• Handle client inquiries in a professional and timely manner, provide clients with accurate invoices, statements, and schedules
• Keep management aware of any unusual operation or financial occurrences and/or significant deviations
• Assist in forecasting financial trends and provide insights into potential risks and opportunities

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• CPA or equivalent preferred but not required
• 3+ years of experience in general accounting
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office Suite
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
