Senior Accountant

Job description
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the manufacturing industry, based in Franklin Park, Illinois. The chosen candidate will be expected to contribute to the company's financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and investment activities. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of the accounting system and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Responsibilities• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close of accounts.• Handle reconciliation tasks on all balance sheet accounts.• Regularly maintain an inventory of fixed assets and inventory accounts.• Implement internal control policies and procedures for all financial activities.• Identify and address any accounting and finance employee training needs.• Coordinate the company's financial planning, financial analysis, budgeting, and investment activities.• Maintain the accuracy of the accounting system.• Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).• Prepare weekly cash forecasting.• Assist in the identification of financial risks and the development of risk management strategies.
