GoodVets, a leading veterinary management organization, is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting function.

Our animal hospitals are a premier destination for high-quality, comprehensive healthcare for pets, and we are growing rapidly in multiple markets across the U.S. We currently operate approximately 40 locations and will have over 55 locations by the end of 2026. We are a private equity-backed organization supported in our growth by preeminent capital partners in General Atlantic and SkyKnight Capital.

Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our accounting department. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong grasp of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive both independently and within a collaborative team environment. We’re looking for someone who has a knack for cracking financial puzzles.

The Impact You Will Have Every Day
• Assisting in the maintenance of financial records, guaranteeing data accuracy and completeness.
• Preparing and processing journal entries, encompassing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Conducting monthly reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Participating in the period-end closing processes, including the preparation of adjusting entries.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and uphold financial integrity.
• Ad-hoc reporting, compliance, analysis, and other duties as assigned.

What We Look For
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and the Microsoft Office suite, focus on Excel.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Compensation Range

$75,000—$110,000 USD
