We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Barrington, Illinois. As a Staff Accountant, you will be integral in ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. This role is pivotal in assisting the financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.Responsibilities:• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies• Summarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements• Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements, including federal, state, and local financial legal requirements• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed• Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports• Assist in preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with all state and federal tax regulations• Assist in the budgeting process, including creating budgets, monitoring spending, and reporting on variances• Ensure all financial operations are compliant with laws and guidelinesSkills:• Knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close• Proficiency in Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP• Experience in Public Accounting, Public Accounting Audit, Public Accounting Tax
