Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Hammond, IN

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $60-80K yrly

Must have: 2+ yrs of Accounting or Finance experience

Misc: This role is 100% on-site

The Staff Accountant will be responsible to assist with the completion of monthly general ledger accounting and closing activity along with financial reporting. In addition general ledger acounting and managing the daily operation of the Accounts Payable function. There will also be general ledger analysis, account reconciliations, balance sheet accounting and journal entries.

Responsibilities
• Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
• Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, or Finance
• 2 + years' experience in accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Great Plains OR Solomon OR SAP
