Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client west of Indianapolis in search of a contract AP Specialist. This contract is set to last 2 months but is open for extension.
Responsibilities:
• Performing day to day financial transactions including processing, verifying, posting of vendor invoices, vendor payments, and other account payable data
• Generating reports and statements for both internal & client use
• Researching and resolving account discrepancies
• Assisting with period end accounting closes
• Adheres to internal controls
Qualifications:
• Experience in Accounts Payable or degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong computer skills
• A basic understanding of accounting principles
• Detail oriented, high level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
• Ability to build relationship with clients and internal departments
• Self-motivated
• Ability to research and solve problems
