Overview Of The Internal Audit Accountant Role
• Execute the approved annual audit plan: Contribute to the performance of independent and objective assurance activities in accordance with departmental and professional standards.
• Provide reasonable assurance: Ensure risk management, control, and governance systems are functioning as intended to meet organizational objectives.
• Conduct follow-up reviews: Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and verify the effectiveness of remediation efforts.
• Monitor and follow up: Keep track of internal audit issues, performing necessary follow-up procedures.
• Pursue professional development: Stay updated through training and professional association memberships.
• Other projects: Take on additional projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications For a Internal Audit Accountant
• Bachelor’s degree: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, information systems, or a related field of study.
• Frameworks knowledge: Experience with Committee of Sponsoring Organizations and National Institute of Standards and Technology control frameworks is desired.
• Certifications: Progression toward a CPA, CIA, CPCU, and/or AIAF designation is desired.

Salary: $65,750 - $75,750 depending on experience
