We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Cost Accountant to join our client, a well-established metal manufacturing company located in Campbellsburg, Indiana (between Salem & Bedford).

About the Role:

This position is crucial for pinpointing areas to optimize profitability and driving success. You'll be a financial detective, analyzing costs, identifying variances, and implementing strategies to maximize efficiency. As a key member of the team, you'll collaborate with operations to ensure cost-effectiveness and provide insights to fuel informed decision-making.

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including:
• Maintaining accurate cost records and reports
• Analyzing cost variances and identifying areas for improvement
• Providing cost data to support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Closing the accounting books on a monthly basis
• Working with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial data

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing cost accounting role
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and methodologies
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
