Job description
The Senior Accountant at Cook Medical will have overall responsibility for North America General Ledger (GL), manage the global Balance sheet reconciliation process and global Chart of Accounts process, and be a champion for continuous improvement initiatives within GL. As we are embarking on a new ERP system implementation this person will be part of the project team. Responsibilities o Understand, document, improve and take over global Chart of Accounts process as part of Oracle ERP implementation o Manage Global Balance sheet reconciliation process including metrics, reporting, training and process improvement o Ensure NAM Balance sheet is reconciled timely and accurately o Ensure accuracy and consistency of the North America (NAM) General Ledger o Manage consistency, documentation and process for NAM accruals, prepayments and journal entries o Support NAM finance team with GL related queries and issues o Support Global General Ledger Manager with ad hoc projects/analysis or tasks as required o Identify, recommend, and lead global process implementation and improvement projects o Create and review policies, procedures and work instructions o Review processes and entries to ensure transactions have been recorded consistently and accurately o Exercise strong problem solving skills during day-to-day activities o Proactive and Self motivated Qualifications o Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance o 5
years of finance experience (in large corporation preferred) o Track record of Continuous Improvement o Proficient knowledge of Oracle ERP an advantage o Experience with general ledger and reporting software packages, e.g. business intelligence software o Proven ability to work independently and self-manage various projects simultaneously
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
AccountingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
