Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking a Staff Accountant to perform day-to-day financial transactions. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports
• Establish tables of accounts, assign entries to proper accounts, an prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems
• Compute taxes owned and prepare tax returns for Company
• Maintain or examine the records of government agencies and prepare periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs
• Assist with external auditing of financial statement review and appraise, evaluate, and inventory of fixed assets
• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Perform general office and other duties as assigned
Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accounting or similar field
• Must have at least 3 to 5 years experience in Accounting
• Must have the ability to perform day-to-day financial transactions
• Must be able to compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Must be proficient using Microsoft Office and Accounting Software along with accurate data entry skills
• Must have excellent communication, telephone, and organizational skills
• Must have ability to pay a high attention to detail while multi-tasking
• Must be able to comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
