Staff Accountant

Job description
Overview: Palmer Group is seeking a qualified Staff Accountant to join our team in serving an insurance industry client. As a Staff Accountant, you will have the opportunity to develop and expand your accounting skills while working with a Fortune 500 company. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze various accounting reports, including variances, disbursements, and billing
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions
• Perform extensive research and analysis to support accounting functions
• Assist with the development, implementation, and documentation of internal and external accounting policies
• Apply cash, ACH, wire, and check receipts in a timely and accurate manner
• Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 1-3+ years of finance or accounting experience
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with commissions
