Accountant

Job description
CC&S is a growing CPA firm with two offices seeking a full-time accountant to join our team at our Topeka, KS location. We are seeking an associate with financial statement preparation experience including bank reconciliations, account analysis, depreciation, accounts payable, sales tax and accurate accounting presentation. Candidate will also assist clients with adjustments to internally prepared financial statements. Experience with payroll is helpful. Candidate must be able to manage deadlines. Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other related fields

· Accounting and bookkeeping experience

· Financial, reconciliation, and compilation preparation experience

· Knowledge of QuickBooks or Accounting CS Software helpful

· Experience with MS office, data entry and standard office equipment

· Excellent attention to detail

· Strong organizational skills

· Ability to professionally engage with clients and staff both verbally and in writing

· Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

· Compilation of financial statements for multiple clients

· Prepare sales tax returns in a timely manner

· Assist with special projects as needed

· Works closely with partners, managers, and staff to facilitate a team approach

· Maintains strong client service relationships

· Proactively reaches out to obtain knowledge, additional tasks, and responsibilities.
