Senior Accountant

Job description
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and high-performing Finance team. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and opportunity to supervise/develop two accounting specialists. Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
• Conduct month-end and year-end close process.
• Regularly evaluate the company's financial performance compared to our long-term goals.
• Develop, implement and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
• Lead and coordinate audit processes.
• Liaise with Tax Accountants to ensure accurate and timely tax returns.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Analyze financial reports for discrepancies and potential areas of improvements.
• BA degree in Accounting required (MA in Accounting or CPA is a plus).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accountant role or a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly with Excel, and familiarity with accounting software and databases.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to follow through.
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.
• Ability to manage large volumes of data without compromise on accuracy.
• Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
