Senior Accountant

Job description
We are in the search for a Senior Accountant to join our publicly traded client, based in Covington, Louisiana. The role involves handling and maintaining accurate records, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and completing special projects as required. Responsibilities:• Handle and review journal entries based on data from system-generated reports or other sources for various general ledger accounts.• Maintain and review the reconciliations for a variety of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.• Undertake financial analysis to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the financial statements.• Take on special projects as needed, including various ad hoc analyses on revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable and allowances for doubtful accounts.• Aid in the preparation of financial statement and footnote schedules and disclosures for filings of SEC periodic reports, such as Forms 10-Q and 10-K.• Ensure departmental deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.• Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Month End Close tasks.• Use software like Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP for various tasks.• Apply skills in Public Accounting and General Ledger.• Prepare Journal Entries as needed.Our client is ready to interview immediately and has strong hybrid work option.
