Job Description

As a Bookkeeper you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and success of our firm. You will oversee all financial operations and collaborate closely with our legal team to support our growth and maintain financial stability. If you're a highly motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for making a difference, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
• Financial Management: Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, including financial reporting and auditing.
• Trust Accounting: Oversee client disbursement processes, process client transactions via ACH and check and ensure compliance with trust accounting regulations.
• Expense Management: Monitor and pay expenses, review vendor contracts, and optimize cost-saving opportunities.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and work closely with external tax advisors.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Financial Software: Utilize Quickbooks and our case management software to process transactions and document files.

Qualifications
• Degree is not required, but associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management or similar major will be taken into consideration for compensation
• Proven experience (3+ years) in the accounting field, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to be a team player
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
