Position Summary:

TriSource is partnering with a client seeking a Senior Accountant who will play a crucial role in their accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position is ideal for a candidate with 4-6 years of public accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.

General Ledger Management:
• Oversee and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Compliance and Audits:
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and support external audits, providing necessary documentation and responses.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze variances between actual results and budgeted/forecasted figures, providing explanations and recommendations.

Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting.

Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other members of the accounting team and cross-functional departments.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accountants and staff.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or progress toward CPA certification is highly preferred.
• Experience: 4-6 years of experience in public accounting or a combination of public and corporate accounting experience.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ethical Standards: High ethical standards and integrity.
