Staff Accountant

Job description
We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in OWINGS MILLS, Maryland. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity within our industry. As a Staff Accountant, your focus will be on managing bank reconciliations, maintaining accurate accounting records, and efficiently processing data using tools such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. Responsibilities include:• Assisting with bank reconciliation projects to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded• Utilizing Excel functions like VLOOKUPs and pivot tables to manage large datasets• Maintaining accurate records for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)• Performing general ledger tasks and preparing journal entries• Assisting with month-end close processes to ensure timely financial reporting• Utilizing SAP and Workday Financial Management systems for various accounting tasks• Managing a high volume of financial data and ensuring all records are up-to-date• Proactively identifying and addressing any discrepancies in financial records• Ensuring all accounting tasks are completed within set deadlines.
