Senior Accountant

A growing retail start-up located in Westborough is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their corporate finance team. This position will be responsible for supporting management on all financial requirements, from interim financial statement preparation to budgeting and forecasting. This position is also responsible for general accounting and maintaining the organization’s overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies. This role has an in-person work schedule and the company is looking to pay a salary range of $+0-$105k base salary plus bonus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Support Month-end close process
• Prepare and review journal entries
• Review and reconcile cash, prepaid accounts, accounts payable, intercompany payments, and other balance sheet accounts
• Prepare month-end financial reports for management
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Complete Ad-hoc projects and requests from the Controller and CFO

Qualifications:
• Attainment of a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years verifiable experience as an Accountant.
• Possess knowledge of commonly used accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Advanced Excel knowledge using pivot tables; overall knowledge and skill with Microsoft products.
• CPA, Public Accounting experience preferred
