Accountant

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Accounting Manager/Supervisor for our team located in Cordova, Tennessee. This role is essential to maintaining the accuracy of our financial statements, driving business decisions through timely and accurate reporting, and providing strong leadership to our accounting staff. This role operates within the telecom industry and is an integral part of our finance/accounting management team.

Responsibilities
• Manage the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements and balance sheet accounts.
• Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations and lead monthly balance sheet review meetings.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financials, month-end close, tax preparation, and monthly reporting packages for the leadership team.
• Analyze financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheet, and working capital to identify business improvement opportunities.
• Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and develop policies, procedures, and process flows to support the internal control environment.
• Provide timely and sufficient workpapers and responses to internal and external audit inquiries.
• Evaluate accounting processes and develop plans to improve controls, efficiencies, and effectiveness.
• Manage the overall performance and development of the team, including hiring and performance evaluations.
• Drive process improvement for both transactional and value-add streams.
• Develop annual budgets for plant operations and analyze variance drivers to budget.
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Great Plains (GPAC), and other related software to perform job duties effectively.

Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC)
• Ability to handle Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Skills in Auditing and Billing Functions
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL and AS400
• Experience in Month End Close, Adjusting Journal Entries, and Journal Entries
• Ability to analyze Financial Statements
• Understanding of Profit Loss statements
