We are seeking a seasoned and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-paced team in the Finance industry. This is a permanent role that offers a fantastic opportunity to leverage your professional experience and skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting activities including bookkeeping, payroll services, and payroll tax. This role requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and responsibility.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include
• Managing all aspects of the general ledger, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Preparing and submitting weekly/monthly reports or snapshots including weekly cash flow forecasts.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly/annual financial statements and coordinating the annual audit process.
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Providing payroll tax support and managing the payroll process.
• Assisting in the development of budgets and financial projections.
• Collaborating with other departments to support overall department goals and objectives.
• Responding to inquiries from the director of finance, company-wide manager, and other finance and firm-wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need
• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• 3-5 years of experience with QuickBooks.
• Previous experience in a CPA firm is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll services.
• Knowledge of payroll tax and ability to manage the payroll process.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
