CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT

Venteon is current seeking a Corporate Accountant for a reputable, well-established company and a leader within their industry. The company is seeking a qualified and motivated accounting professional.

Overview:
• The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for preparing property monthly financial packages and workpapers. Other duties will include overseeing the general ledger through monthly financial statements for company-wide entities.

Requirements:
• 2+ years of increased responsibility in an accounting environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Understanding financial statement relationships between balance sheet, income and cash flow statements
• Knowledge of consolidated accounting practices.
• Strong Microsoft Excel user

Job Description:
• Prepare monthly GL account analysis and follow up on any necessary adjustments.
• Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements and statements of cash flows.
• Reviews and posts journal entries
• Performs month-end closing duties.
• Prepares year end workpapers.
• Prepare and research certain monthly bank reconciliations.
• Special projects as needed.
• Work toward continual improvement of the overall organization
