Staff Accountant

Description

We are partnering with a commercial real estate firm based in Charleston, SC in need of a Property Accountant. This client manages 60 commercial properties across the Low Country and is continuing to see growth. This role will require you to process various accounts, assist with end-of-month procedures, and prepare various reports. The successful candidate will have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities
• Manage the processing of accounts payable and receivables.
• Assist in the review and execution of end-of-month processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for accountants and landlords.
• Conduct reconciliation of specific accounts and statement balances on a regular basis.
• Set up new properties and tenants as required.
• Oversee vendor payments ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Assist in the creation of Annual Budgets and CAM Reconciliations.
• Conduct billbacks to tenants and properties for expenses.
• Prepare both recurring and non-recurring general journal entries monthly.
• Utilize Yardi and Yardi Breeze for various accounting operations.

Requirements
• Possess skills in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Capable of performing Bank Reconciliations
• Proficient in managing the General Ledger
• Able to handle Journal Entries
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Familiarity with Yardi software
• Knowledge of Yardi Breeze software
• Ability to conduct Cam Reconciliation
