Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Interim Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting operations of our IT company during a transitional period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, preferably within the IT or technology sector, and will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Management:
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Generate accurate financial reports and statements, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements as needed.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Compliance and Audit:
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Maintain and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls.
• Team Management:
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
• Special Projects:
• Assist with special projects and initiatives as directed by senior management.
• Support the transition to new accounting software or systems as required.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of [5-7] years of progressive accounting experience, with at least [2-3] years in a management role.
• Experience in the IT or technology sector is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
