We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Rochester, Minnesota. The role involves various accounting activities, including managing the general ledger, conducting monthly bank reconciliations, and processing payroll. You will also be involved in financial analysis and event settlements, contributing to the overall financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities
• Conduct daily accounting activities to ensure the general ledger, trial balance, and key account reconciliations are prepared and monitored efficiently.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare event invoices and conduct monthly revenue recognition journal entries.
• Assist with event settlements as needed.
• Undertake financial analysis as required by the client and contribute to the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
• Execute bi-weekly payroll processing and subsequent journal entries.
• Maintain detailed records of fixed assets and perform account reconciliations.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses.
• Review reconciliations and analyses with the Accounting Manager and the Director of Finance.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in AP
• Strong communication skills, ability to take initiative
• Strong Excel Skills
