Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success. You are a highly organized and motivated Property Accountant with a strong background in accounting, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will work as part of the accounting team, ensuring the needs of our fast-paced work environment are met. You proactively solve problems, are a team player, and an excellent communicator. This role is primarily remote with occasional in-person meetings, as required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for multiple properties.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Process approved tenant write offs and send files to collections.
• Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Complete General Ledger entries and manage cash balances.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Maintain tenant ledgers and handle tenant billing and rent collections.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Provide support for annual audits and tax preparations.
• Provide support for quarterly and annual mortgage reporting.
• Prepare quarterly investor reports and distributions.
• Perform internal audits to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.
• Assist with special projects and provide financial analysis as needed.
• Assist with any other financial tasks as requested.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a wide range of people
• Must be organized, detail oriented and have good time management skills.

Salary range is $60-70k a year DOQ + $5,000 bonus potential
