What is the Opportunity?

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a key partner to RBC US Wealth Management business leaders by providing expertise in the analysis, measurement and communication of financial and non-financial objectives and making recommendations regarding the financial management of the business.

What will you do?
• Conduct research, analyses and create financial models on a variety of complex financial issues and business opportunities
• Prepare and review month-end activities. Work closely with Financial Control to understand/improve accounting procedures and practices related to revenue booking, expenses, data uploads and balance reconciliations.
• Review balances for reasonableness and accuracy. Develop, maintain and improve complex databases, models and entries
• Prepare and present results and insight to senior management
• Manage the budget as well as short and long term forecasting processes and advise business partners.
• Identify risks and opportunities to the successful execution of plans. Participate in multiple projects aimed at identifying and implementing changes to current business practices, including leading financial management-driven projects

What do you need to Succeed?
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• 5-7+ years of experience in financial analysis

Nice to Have
• Experience with Tableau, Alteryx, or similar data tools
• Experience working in the financial services industry
• Strong presentation and communication skills to effectively convey insights to stakeholders
• Ability to take initiative, be productive, and solve problems independently while being part of a team
• Highly organized with effective time/project management skills
• Curious and creative – explores new ideas and is challenged by change
• Demonstrated success in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
