Staff Accountant

Job description
Our client is an organization in the greater Minneapolisarea looking for an Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 2+ years of accounting experience, strong prioritization skills, and is highly organized. This company offers a close-knit team with great tenure and a variety of work within this role!

The salary range for this job is $70k-85k.

The Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
- Assist in the development of annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Assist in internal and external audits as necessary.
- Prepare reports on financial performance, trends and variances.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate policies.
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
- Ad hoc projects as needed.

The Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Exposure to tax preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
