Staff Accountant

Construx Co is expanding our Project Management team and looking for key personnel to help develop and manage its program. Construx Co is a smaller GC/CM firm that was established in 2017 and mainly operates out of the Farmington Valley of Connecticut. Since its fruition, Construx Co has provided Construction services for Educational Institutions, Medical, Retail, Restaurants and Office Build outs.

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.

Responsibilities:
• Knowledge of basics - making accounting journal entries (debits and credits)
• Cash deposits and cash transfer entries
• A/P and A/R
• Enter invoices from vendors into the accounting system and other systems
• Credit card reconciliation
• Some payroll experience
• Monitor client accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Provide supporting documentation for audits
• Employee benefits knowledge
• Complete ad-hoc analysis requests quickly while maintaining integrity and accuracy of data
• Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
• Report analysis and findings to management team

​Qualifications:
• Previous experience in accounting or other related fields
• Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
