FINANCE DIRECTOR

Town of Barrington, Rhode Island -FINANCE DIRECTOR
The Town of Barrington, RI is accepting applications for a full-time FINANCE DIRECTOR. Under the appointment of the Town Manager, the
Finance Director will oversee the maintenance and integrity of the Town’s accounting systems, coordinate all financial transactions and ensure the proper preparation and maintenance of all financial records, reports, and statements. Will also perform complex supervisory, administrative, and professional work in directing, and managing the operations of the Town’s Finance Department. Responsibilities will also include control of all accounting, purchasing, collection of all taxes and other revenues to ensure all payments are being properly administered.
Ideal Candidate: Strong leadership and supervisory skills to lead and develop our Finance Team; Possess comprehensive knowledge of municipal operations and the principles and techniques of financial management and budgetary control; Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and to present findings clearly in written and oral form.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; Master’s degree in Finance or Public Administration; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred; seven to ten (7-10) years of professional experience in accounting and finance and experience in municipal budgeting and financial control; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Salary Range: $125,000 - $140,000 -annual salary will commensurate based on qualifications and experience. Full Benefit package available
