Test Automation Engineer

Job Description

Key responsibilities
- Create well-planned and structured test plans and automated scripts
- Prepare detailed test reports
- Prioritize and execute automated tests
- Analyze and fix bugs in software through testing
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and monitor QA metrics
- Discuss verification protocols with the team members to design automated tests
- Collaborate with QA engineers and developers to identify and test key functionalities of software programs

Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or IT (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of industry experience as a QA engineer or QA tester (rare exceptions for highly skilled candidates)
- Thorough understanding of automation systems and databases
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as C#, PHP, JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.
- Experience working with automation testing tools like Cucumber, Selenium, Katalon Studio, etc.
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in SQL, scripting, and related procedures
- Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers
- Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
