Job description
Position: Shopify Developer

Location: remote / hybrid ( chennai)

Experience: 3-4 Years

Job Responsibilities

Shopify Development:
• Develop and customize Shopify themes using the Liquid templating language.
• Build custom Shopify apps using Ruby on Rails.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs with Shopify.
• Optimize Shopify stores for speed, performance, and SEO.
• Work with Shopify Plus features and customizations.

Front-End Development
• Implement responsive and visually appealing web designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Create engaging animations and interactive elements using animation libraries (e.g., GSAP, Animate.css).
• Develop custom front-end components and user interfaces following best practices and design specifications.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure seamless integration of design elements.

Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails framework for building custom Shopify apps.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify platform, APIs, and Liquid templating language.
• Experience with front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Expertise in animation libraries (e.g., GSAP, Anime.js) and CSS animations.
• Understanding of Shopify's Polaris design system and theme customization.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.

Additional Skills
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for web applications.
• Understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce websites.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-4 years of professional experience in Shopify development.
• Proven experience with Ruby on Rails in a production environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in front-end development and animation.
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous Shopify projects and animation work.
