Job Title: QC Mechanical/Electrical

Location: Coimbatore

Job Summary:

The Quality Specialist will oversee quality control processes at various levels, including inward QC for incoming materials and components, as well as sub-vendor level QC to ensure supplier compliance with quality standards. This role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and verify the quality of incoming materials and components from suppliers, ensuring compliance with specified quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Document and report any discrepancies or non-conformities found during incoming inspections.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to address quality issues with suppliers and ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct quality assessments of products and components sourced from sub-vendors, developing and implementing quality control procedures for evaluating sub-vendor compliance.
• Perform regular audits and inspections at sub-vendor facilities as needed.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards for production.
• Should have GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure product specifications are met.
• Should have basic inspection tool knowledge.
• Identify, document, and address quality issues during production and in finished products.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring quality issues and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with the production team to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement in processes and products.
• Propose and support initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in quality management.
• Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, tests, and performance metrics.
• Prepare and present detailed quality reports to management, highlighting key findings and improvement recommendations.
• Ensure all quality documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
• Diploma degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment, including inward QC and sub-vendor QC.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards and procedures.

Preferred Skills:
• Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO +001) is a plus.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of foundry processes and costing principles is advantageous.
