Job description
The Music Teacher will design and deliver a comprehensive music curriculum for students till Grade 12, focusing on vocal and instrumental instruction. This role includes fostering a love for music, enhancing students' musical abilities, and organizing school performances. The Music Teacher will collaborate with the Arts Department to create engaging educational experiences that support students' overall development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Curriculum Development: Create and implement a diverse music curriculum aligned with educational standards.
• Instruction: Teach music theory, vocal, and instrumental music, adapting lessons for individual and group needs.
• Performance Coordination: Organize and lead school musical performances and events.
• Assessment: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and maintaining records.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behavior.
• Instrument Care: Teach proper instrument care and ensure school instruments are maintained.
• Extracurricular Activities: Lead or support music-related extracurricular activities.
• Collaboration: Work with staff to integrate music into the broader curriculum.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on teaching methods and trends.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Certification: Valid teaching certification in Music Education.
• Experience: Preferably experienced in teaching music in schools.

Skills & Personal Attributes:
• Proficiency in various musical instruments and vocal instruction.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for music education.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Work Environment:
• Classroom setting; some evening and weekend work for performances.
