Job description
• Assist physicians in managing cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the Cath lab, in the care of patients undergoing cardiac, Neuro, renal and peripheral vascular procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities of Cath lab Technician
• Assist physicians in managing cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in an invasive procedure , specializing in the care of patients undergoing:
• Basic diagnostic catheterization procedures on patients with known and suspected congenital and acquired cardiac, renal, neuro and peripheral vascular disease.
• Assisting Basic interventional procedures which may include any of the following: PTCA, balloon prep, stent prep and placement, rot ablator, IABP placement and operation ,

- Operation of the radiographic equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

- Maintain high standards to achieve quality patient care.

- Keep critical skills current.

- Patient interaction: and meet customer satisfaction

- Patient transportation, good communication and evaluation of patient status during the procedure. Handing over of CD to be done with acknowledgement.

- Provide specific care, preparation of access site according to lab standard practice, and perform EKG lead placement, blood pressure and pulse oximetry setup for hemodynamic monitoring.

- Sheath removal and puncture site haematoma to be monitored and to be reported if any.

- Charging of the consumables as per the protocols.

- Documentation of the procedures.
• Procedural requirements: Unit preparation, fluid preparation with accurate drug concentrations (contrast) , maintaining stocks , daily QC checks, radiographic, hemodynamic and computer setup, and ensure room clean-up .

- Observe occupational and radiation safety regulations (wearing badges, lead aprons, goggles, gloves)

- Accurately documenting patient data

- Maintain sterile procedure, infectious control, observe all fluid patency of catheters, balloons and manifolds, and assist according to physician direction.
• Indent, maintain, store and accounting of consumables.
• Maintain inventory of stents and balloons.
• Order entries and charging as per the hospital instruction.
• Maintenance of catheters, guide wires, balloons packing and tracking of multi use of single use device as per NABH protocols.
• Calliberation, maintenance and complaint handling of Bio medical Equipments.
• Maintain cleaning, disinfection of Cath lab as per guidelines and maintain the checklist.
• Ensure smooth running of the Cath lab.
• Responsible for training of new joinees and provide support to the team
• Report any untoward incidents.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Diploma / Degree in Cardiac Care Technology

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

- Candidates / Aspirants ready to work at /relocate to Mysore on their own can also apply.
