We are a busy small firm with a positive attitude and a desire to set ourselves apart through a great work environment and strong client relations. We practice predominantly in residential real estate with a focus on new construction.

We are looking for Junior Lawyer with 1-4 years experience, who is seeking a collegial work environment to join our team. The right candidate will be someone professional with a positive attitude, be a team player, and will have a customer service focus. Please note this is an in-person position only, not a remote work or hybrid work opportunity.

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have experience in running residential real estate closings (purchases/sales/refinances) files from start to finish independently; experience in the preparation of wills and estate planning documents; negotiations; research; and writing tasks. Real estate work is mandatory.

Duties:
- To also handle all aspects of a real estate transaction;
- Meet with clients in person and virtually;
- Research and memos on relevant aspects of law, as required;
- Assist in drafting legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, statutory declarations, wills, powers of attorney, personal healthcare directives, and probates;
- Collaborate with the senior lawyer and paralegals, as well as provide support as needed; and
- Other related tasks as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law or Juris Doctor (JD)
- Active Membership in the Law Society of Alberta or eligible to immediately become an Active Member of the Law Society of Alberta;
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures;
- Excellent writing and communication skills with a focus on customer service;
- Proficiency in writing clear and concise legal documents;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge and experience in real estate and wills and estates is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
