Role Description

This is a full-time role as a Residential Real Estate and Wills & Estates Associate Lawyer at KH/Dunkley Law Group in Calgary, AB. As an Associate Lawyer, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of Residential Real Estate transactions including but not limited to purchases, sales, refinances, new builds (houses and condominiums), and private lending. We are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for the practice of law to contribute to our firm's success.

Responsibilities
• Conduct negotiations on behalf of clients in real estate transactions (re-sale purchase and sales, refinancing, new builds) and private lending
• Handle all aspects of the residential real estate transaction
• Handle meeting, drafting, reviewing, and signing of wills, enduring powers of attorney, and personal directives
• Draft legal documents including contracts and agreements
• Meeting with clients face-to-face and contacting stakeholders such as realtors, mortgage brokers/specialists, other counsel

Qualifications
• MUST be a member of the Alberta Bar in good standing
• Strong knowledge and experience in residential real estate (resale, new builds including both single-family homes and condominiums, mobile homes, and leasehold properties); at least 1-3 years of residential real estate experience
• Willing to commute to our satellite offices for client meetings
• Exceptionally client-focused, highly personable, and responsive
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in handling commercial real estate is an asset
