Patent Analyst| Agent

Job description

As a Patent Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in managing patent-related matters. Your role will involve conducting patent research, drafting patent applications, responding to office actions, and assisting in firms practice development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct various types of patent searches using paid and free patent databases.

· Draft provisional and complete patent specifications.

· Prepare industry and technology specific reports using patent data.

· Drafting responses to FER’s/office actions and preparing hearing responses.

· Coordinate with inventors, clients, and internal stakeholders to gather information and provide updates on patent matters.

· Assist in firms practice development activities.

· Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant legal developments and draft law updates, blogs and other marketing material on these matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

· 2 - 4 years of experience in conducting Patent searches and drafting Patent specifications

· Bachelor's or advanced degree in any engineering (Preferably, Computer science, Electronics, Mechanical, and Chemical).

· Must have conducted at least 20 patent searches using paid databases and drafted at least 10 complete patent specifications.

· Good understanding of Indian Patent Laws, Rules and Procedures.

· Excellent analytical and research skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.

· Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

· Patent agent registration or a Law degree is a plus.
