ABOUT THIS ROLE

An ideal fit for this role will have background in both land use planning and design development. Project manager foresight to be able to anticipate next steps and meet project timelines. Experience in understanding the housing and development market is a good background. If you are interested in being a development manager, this role can prepare you for it and take you there. A good fit for this role would be someone who is not afraid to try something new and figure it out, in both an individual and team setting.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare and submit rezoning applications

- Meet with file managers at the city to resolve conflicts

- Sending payment requests for Planning and Development related costs

- Drawing reviews for DP and BP sets, DSSP’s, Shop drawings, Mech, Elec drawings, Structural drawings, surveys

- Requesting and reviewing cabinet layouts, other shop drawings as needed

- Attending public hearings for Eagle Crest Projects

- Coordinate geotechnical and environmental reports

- Tendering for pre construction consultants and pre development consultants

- Requesting quotes from consultants and reviewing scopes

- Release Development Permits, track progress and meet all city of Calgary requirements to release

- Provide, manage, and maintain all interior and exterior project finishing spec sheets.

- Design finishing package for all projects assigned to you, tender the package and provide budget/cost analysis

- Site walkthroughs on a weekly basis to ensure finishing spec is being maintained.

-Attend weekly meetings on projects with consultants and construction team

- Processing invoices and creating PO’s for all consultants relating to Planning and Development Tasks

- General filing for quotes, PO’s, drawings, meeting minutes, comments

- All meeting minutes for Alberta projects in Development and Planning

- Provide review and project tracking of timelines and turnovers on drawing reviews, DP and BP submissions, Land use applications

- Meet with consultants to provide direction on next steps and deadlines

- Tender and approve all project consultants including but not limited to: architect, planner, civil, landscape, land surveyor, geotechnical, environmental, mechanical, electrical, envelope engineers.

-Have a positive attitude towards problem solving and learning

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
