Interior Design Liaison

RareBuilt Homes Ltd. is a Calgary based home builder that has been building custom homes in the Calgary area for nearly two decades. Building off the quality of our custom builds, we have expanded our reach to now include land development and high-end multi-family projects. Our company takes immense pride in the homes we build, and this carries through to all facets of how the company operates.

As a result of key land acquisitions and future development projects, we are growing our team in all departments and looking to add a key person to the design team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and focused Design Liaison to join our team this August. We are not looking for someone to stay in the same, static role for the next 5 years, we are looking for someone that is willing to take the opportunity to learn and develop and progress upwards in the company.

This role will have a broad set of tasks and in addition to reoccurring tasks, will be involved in many ad hoc projects as needed. We work in a fast-paced environment that can sometimes be challenging, but the trade off is that it offers the opportunity to develop skills and experience at a much faster pace.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Function as design liaison with clients, designers, site superintendents, sub-trades, and other project stakeholders.

· Manage client selections in accordance with project plans, schedules and ensure compliance with budget.
• Coordination with trades and suppliers to provide quotes and communicate approved client changes impacting construction.
• Build constructive and effective working relationships with both internal and external team members.
• Ensure timely management and coordination of change orders, purchase orders, communications to ensure projects run smoothly.
• Participate in weekly internal progress and performance meetings.
• Demonstrate growing leadership skills with an ability and willingness to face challenges, solve problems, and motivate others.

· Works under the direction and assists the Design Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Interior design training, cabinet design or, working in single-family and/or multi-family construction in an interior design role.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Exceptional attention to detail is a must.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-up or other design software is an asset.
• Knowledge of Buildertrend (or other builder software) experience is an asset.

• Full-time, permanent position
• Schedule is Monday-Friday (occasional weekends as needed).
