Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman |HET

Job description
Foremost Industries has an immediate full-time position for a Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman (HET) position for our Calgary, Alberta based Field Service Department , the role requires travel on an as needed basis to various locations around the world.

Responsibilities:
• Comfortable working in our manufacturing facility/ shop as well as in the field
• Startup of new Foremost equipment at customer’s location.
• Inspection, diagnosis and repair of equipment at customer’s location.
• Adjust equipment & repairing/replacing defective parts, components, or systems according to the scope of work.
• Communicate with customers to define the scope of repairs.
• Develop and maintaining cooperative, customer service-focused relationship with internal and external customers.
• Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician or / Heavy Duty Equipment Technician License preferred
• Experience with Hydraulic, Electrical, and Mechanical Systems.
• Working knowledge of drilling equipment and transportation vehicles an asset.
• Self-motivated, fast learner and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working in our manufacturing facility/ shop as well as in the field
• Ability to work on call and overtime when required.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Valid Driver’s license (abstract required)
• Valid Passport and willingness to travel domestically and internationally without restrictions (at times with little or no notice prior).
• Safety Training an asset but will train as required.

Experience:
• electronics aptitude low voltage: 2 years (required)
• Industrial Hydraulics: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
• Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic/ Heavy Equipment Technician (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:
• Calgary, AB: Relocate before starting work (preferred)

Willingness to travel:
• 50% (preferred)
