Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport is currently looking for a full time Commis Chef to join our Kitchen Team.

As a Commis Chef your responsibilities include:
Preparing mise-en-place for your designated work station to ensure the smooth running of service
Prepare all food items in accordance with standard recipes
Check food rotation to ensure freshness of all food products
Adhering to the Hotels Policies and Procedures
Meet all health and hygiene requirements and cleanliness
Available for rotating shift across 7 days per week

The successful applicants should have the following attributes:

An Australian recognized Trade or relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery
Previous experience of at least two years in a similar role in an International Hotel
The ability to work in a fast paced kitchen
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Team Player
A proactive approach to system improvements
Knowledge of HACCP and relevant food safety accreditation
