Who are you?

Growing in an ever-changing industry in Calgary, Melanson Homes & Renovations is looking for an experienced Residential Site Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis. We are looking for a creative professional who is seeking a company to grow with. As a company that was founded on the foundation of construction, process & quality, we require an individual who has a proven track record of residential carpentry including an interior finishing or cabinet making background.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and complete tasks from start to finish
• Light interior finishing
• Installation of interior/exterior doors, casing, baseboards & various mouldings.
• Installation of subflooring.
• Ability to review, understand and execute millwork drawings and floor plans.
• Light (back) framing.
• Site maintenance including vacuuming, lot cleaning & sweeping at key points of construction.
• Other duties as assigned including but not limited to transporting of various materials
• Demolition when required.

Required Skills and Experience
• 5+ years’ experience in residential construction
• Journeyman/Journeywoman or Red Seal Candidates prioritized
• Strong communication & problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, clean & professional, able to work efficiently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
• Must speak fluent English
• Valid Driver’s License and Abstract
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.- 150lbs.

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
