Job Description
• Only qualified Senior Accountant candidates located near the Rosemead, CA area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence

Education Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

Qualifications:

• Must have experience with interpreting and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Typically, six or more years of experience in accounting or related filed

• Must have strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate accounting issues and business processes

• Demonstrate experience and proficiency with SAP or similar enterprise software

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

• Thorough knowledge in financial/economic analysis, pricing, and sales.

• Knowledge of electrical theory, energy systems, and technologies.

• Typically possesses seven or more years of sales and marketing experience.

• 7+ years accounting experience in a high-volume environment.

• 2+ years supervisory experience.

• Advanced knowledge and understanding in the areas of project management methodology, and analytical formulae and tools used for computational analysis.

• Interpersonal Skills

• Advanced ability to work well with others, help resolve conflicts and establish good relationships among cross-functional team members.

• Leadership Ability to display leadership skills in establishing a positive work environment, securing buy-in from team members and helping to keep project teams motivated.

• Analysis & Decision-Making Ability to solve problems by considering available information, prioritizing and making timely recommendations; correlates data using standard business tools and approaches, spots trends and applies sound risk management principles.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload:

• Interpret and apply GAAP and regulatory decisions and provide accounting guidance to team members

• Perform financial statement variance explanations related to fixed assets and billings

• Perform and review monthly variance analysis including identifying key drivers, working closely with internal/external partners, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.

• Oversee data analysis involving work order true-ups and billings for proper disposition, including validating integrity of charges and resolving issues.

• Work closely with upstream teams to ensure processes are being followed to minimize inaccurate work

• Lead effort for quarterly and annual compliance reporting and support data request for various regulatory agencies
